Job description
The role is for a highly skilled engineer in Netflix's Cloud Infrastructure Engineering organization, focusing on the Compute Control Plane and Capacity team. This team is responsible for ensuring there is always sufficient capacity to meet Netflix's needs, including managing critical services at scale. The engineer will tackle complex challenges related to cloud compute infrastructure and work on evolving performance and efficiency. Collaboration with various engineering teams is essential to ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and efficient.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with running containerized platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud architectures and distributed systems.
- Deep experience operating critical Tier 0 services at scale.
- Platform experience building for engineers.
- AI fluency in leveraging AI to assist with coding, design, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Launch millions of containers on the Kubernetes-based container platform.
- Build the platform that Kubernetes operators at Netflix run on.
- Drive the evolution of systems and tooling for managing compute capacity.
- Influence engineering excellence and maintain operational rigor within the team.
- Form strong cross-functional partnerships to align with engineering teams.
- Drive large initiatives to completion in collaboration with partner organizations.
