The Principal Quant Engineer will join the Quantitative Research & Investments Technology team at Fidelity Asset Management Technology. This role focuses on designing, building, enhancing, and supporting a Systematic Fixed Income research and portfolio construction ecosystem. The individual will engage in hands-on development while collaborating with software engineers and quantitative developers. The position requires strong communication skills to influence decisions and engage with various stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a computational field such as Computer Science, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial services, preferably in Asset Management.
- Proven experience engaging with senior internal and external clients and partners.
- Experience with Python and micro-services / RESTful APIs.
- Experience integrating data services with Excel or other UI like Angular is a plus.
- Prior quant development experience with Fixed Income asset class is a plus.
- Experience working on AWS cloud environment and knowledge of CI/CD & DevOps.
- Strong experience in system architecture, design patterns, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Advanced understanding of data structures.
- Demonstrated experience with portfolio construction and/or optimization is a plus.
Responsibilities

- Capture requirements and formulate plans by partnering with various stakeholders.
- Support the enhancement and maintenance of the portfolio construction ecosystem.
