The Software Test Engineer will join Fidelity's shared services team, focusing on quality assurance for Fixed Income applications. This role involves designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated test plans to ensure high-quality software delivery. The engineer will collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to identify issues early and drive continuous improvement. • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field.
• 5 years of software testing experience, including both functional and automation testing.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle process, preferably Agile.
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Cucumber or FitNesse.
• Experience in writing SQL queries for data validation against highly normalized transactional databases, with Oracle strongly preferred.
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of object-oriented programming skills.

• Develop automated test cases and components of the testing automation framework.
• Create and conduct Test Strategy and Test Plan reviews with the team.
• Execute functional, system, and integration tests and participate in UAT testing.
• Adhere to software engineering best practices using Java, GitHub, SQL, Jenkins, and JSON.
• Analyze test results and provide sign-off documentation for change management.
• Participate in coordinated regression testing efforts for shared services releases.
• Develop, document, and communicate testing artifacts within the team.
