Job description

The role of Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Netflix focuses on driving programs within the Games Data Science & Engineering (DSE) team. This team is essential for developing data infrastructure that supports game development and enhances user experiences across various platforms. The TPM will collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and game studios to ensure reliable and impactful data systems. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge and strong communication skills to manage complex, multi-stakeholder programs.

Requirements

  • An experienced technical program manager with a track record of delivering complex programs in data engineering, data science, or analytics-adjacent domains.
  • Technically fluent enough to engage meaningfully with data engineers and scientists, understanding data pipelines and telemetry architectures.
  • A systems thinker who can map dependencies across platform, studio, and cross-functional data teams.
  • A strong communicator who can write program updates for engineers and executive summaries for leadership.
  • Proactive about identifying problems before they become blockers and bringing solutions.
  • Committed to an inclusive working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end program delivery for Games Platform DSE initiatives, including telemetry instrumentation and data pipeline development.
  • Partner closely with data engineers and product teams to build foundational data capabilities for games.
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies between Games Platform engineering and Games DSE.
  • Create visibility into program health and surface risks to engineering leads and Games leadership.
  • Serve as the TPM interface between Games DSE and game studio partners.
  • Drive requirements gathering and scoping for studio-facing analytics products.
  • Manage the delivery of studio analytics tooling from concept through launch.
  • Drive programs that deliver experimentation infrastructure for games.
  • Track adoption of data and experimentation capabilities across the games portfolio.
  • Engage across Games Engineering, Games DSE, and central Netflix Data Platform teams to manage dependencies.

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
