Job description
The Ads Data Engineering team at Netflix is focused on building a data ecosystem that enhances the understanding and decision-making regarding the impact of ads on the business. They are seeking passionate and experienced software engineers who possess strong data intuition and analytical skills, particularly in the advertising domain. The team aims to create rich, connected, and accessible data products related to ad inventories, forecasting, and targeting. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data solutions.
Requirements
- Extensive background and strong technical expertise working with data at scale.
- Experience with advertising data is preferred.
- Hands-on experience building batch or streaming production data pipelines using distributed processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Hive/Hadoop.
- Knowledge in data modeling and establishing data architecture across multiple systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java, as well as data exploration using SQL.
Responsibilities
- Architect, strengthen, and expand the core data products that scale the Ads business.
- Fully own critical portions of Netflix's Ads data products and collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs.
- Model tables using software engineering and data warehouse best practices.
- Develop large-scale data processing solutions to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data.
- Partner with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to create intuitive data products.
