Job description

The role is for a highly motivated engineer to join the Account Foundations team at Netflix Ads, focusing on building foundational advertising systems. The team aims to enhance account data management for advertisers, ensuring a seamless experience as the business scales. Responsibilities include rebuilding account data models and automating processes to improve efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience building cloud-based applications with modern programming languages.
  • 4+ years of experience in the Ads domain on demand side systems.
  • Broad knowledge of ad tech and advertising landscape, programmatic advertising, and digital marketing trends.
  • Experience in building multi-tenant, API-first services, including REST/GraphQL best practices.
  • Familiarity with API Gateway patterns around authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.
  • Familiarity with Object/Entity lifecycle management and data governance.
  • Operational excellence experience with customer-facing APIs, including SLO tracking and incident management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Rebuild the account data model to accurately represent advertisers and agencies.
  • Build the enrichment layer to identify advertiser structures and spending.
  • Automate cohort assignment and identity verification processes.
  • Develop an automated attribution engine for mapping programmatic spend.
  • Ensure architectural decisions support long-term scalability and efficiency.
