Job description

Netflix is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead analytics, data science, and strategy for core personalization algorithms. This role involves collaborating with product management and engineering teams to enhance personalization capabilities using advanced machine learning and AI. The ideal candidate will leverage statistical methods to derive insights that influence member experiences and drive decision-making. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • An advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in one or more data science roles.
  • Expertise in statistical analysis methods, particularly experimentation and causal inference.
  • Strong data manipulation and quantitative programming skills in SQL or Python.
  • Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage experimentation and causal inference methods to drive actionable insights.
  • Build metrics and measurement frameworks that are statistically robust.
