Job description
The Python Platform team at Netflix is focused on enhancing the development experience for Python developers by creating and promoting internal libraries that address common challenges. This relatively new team offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Python at Netflix, emphasizing performance optimization and best practices. Team members will collaborate with various partner teams to ensure a seamless software development lifecycle for Python developers. The role requires a balance of technical expertise and project management skills to navigate diverse customer needs.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with the Python web stack, including FastAPI and Flask.
- Familiarity with integrating and working with the NVIDIA GPU software stack.
- Expertise in performance optimization for low-latency and high-throughput distributed systems.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with other Platform teams.
- AI fluency.
Responsibilities
- Design and promote internal Python libraries that address common challenges faced by Netflix's Python developers.
- Refine foundational Python capabilities to ensure they operate seamlessly for internal customers.
- Understand and improve the Python development experience by incorporating best practices and the latest technologies.
- Optimize the tech stack for better scalability and performance.
- Participate in the team’s support and on-call rotations.
