Job description
The Ads Pricing and Packaging team at Netflix is focused on developing advanced inventory management systems to support various monetization strategies. This role requires a highly motivated engineer with extensive experience in software development, particularly in yield optimization and dynamic pricing systems. The team aims to build high-performing advertising systems that differentiate Netflix in the Connected TV advertising space. Candidates will be part of a new team with ambitious goals to monetize Netflix's content effectively.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on developing inventory management systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing yield optimization systems, with a deep knowledge of inventory valuation.
- Experience in building systems for dynamic pricing, sell through rates, managing rate cards, segmenting and packaging inventory, and overseeing yield management.
- Strong understanding of auction mechanics and experience building systems for reserve pricing.
- Designed data models, platform abstractions, and public APIs to facilitate smooth interoperability with internal ads platform teams as well as seamless integrations with external order management systems.
- General understanding of the advertising marketplace and landscape, with a focus on publisher side challenges like optimizing fill rates and maximizing revenue in the context of inventory management.
- Track record of technical leadership across multiple teams, setting architectural direction and influencing cross-functional roadmaps.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and mentoring skills.
