Job description

This role at Netflix is focused on leading the Ads Research team to develop and execute impactful quantitative research initiatives that inform advertising experiences and features. The position offers a unique opportunity to partner with cross-functional teams, including Product, Data Science, and Design, to uncover insights that drive business impact. The ideal candidate will navigate the complexities of the advertising landscape while engaging with members and advertisers globally. This position is critical for shaping the future of Netflix's advertising tools and strategies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in product/user experience (UX) research with expertise in leading qualitative and quantitative research studies.
  • Deep fluency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Experience socializing research findings across different departments.
  • A mastery of qualitative methodologies including in-depth interviews and usability testing.
  • Strong communication skills with a bias toward action and business acumen.
  • An advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Social sciences, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute high-impact research initiatives.
  • Engage with Netflix members and advertisers to uncover pain points and unmet needs.
  • Evangelize the role of research and scale practice in nascent environments.
  • Identify and prioritize impactful opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Balance several projects simultaneously at different stages from idea to presentation.
  • Translate research findings into actionable business recommendations.

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
