Job description
The Senior Analytics Engineer at Netflix will play a crucial role in the Ads Ranking team, focusing on developing data-driven solutions for ad personalization. This position involves designing metrics, generating insights, and providing recommendations based on product experiments. The engineer will collaborate with Data Engineers to create robust data models and analytics tools. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new business area within Netflix.
Requirements
- A degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, or engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, analytics engineering, or a similar data field.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language, preferably Python.
- Experience with modern data warehousing solutions like Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
- Strong communication skills to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Data Engineers to design and implement robust data models and pipelines.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, self-service analytics tools and data products.
- Develop, define, and maintain key metrics and dashboards for reporting.
- Analyze and interpret data to improve the efficiency of the ads marketplace.
- Develop and maintain observability and monitoring solutions for machine learning models.
- Enable A/B testing and experimentation by building robust data pipelines.
- Identify gaps and opportunities for innovation in analytics engineering.
- Experiment with new technologies, including Generative AI solutions.
- Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
