Job description

Netflix is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Leader to manage and grow a team within the Cloud Network Engineering organization. This team focuses on delivering secure and reliable cloud networking solutions that enhance Netflix's infrastructure. The role involves leading engineers to tackle complex networking challenges and innovating with cutting-edge technologies. The leader will also drive the transition to policy-driven network configurations to simplify processes for engineering teams.

Requirements

  • A product-focused leader with a passion for building critical infrastructure platforms.
  • Strong software development experience with a focus on abstracting complexity.
  • Experience in building and operating complex distributed systems at scale.
  • Solid understanding of Layer3/Layer4 networking and network security.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Tier 0 network governance layer for Netflix workloads.
  • Build, scale, and mentor a cohesive team of engineers.
  • Form strong cross-functional partnerships to align engineering teams.
  • Build Netflix's network observability capability using eBPF-based technologies.
  • Drive the transition to opinionated, policy-driven network configurations.
