Job description
The Senior Analytics Engineer at Netflix will lead the development of a unified revenue analytics narrative and strategy for the global Ads business. This role involves operationalizing core revenue datasets and driving the overarching business narrative through the creation of semantic models, dashboards, and analysis frameworks. The engineer will work closely with various teams to ensure accurate and transparent insights into revenue streams. This position is critical for shaping the analytics vision for revenue measurement and enhancing decision-making across the organization.
Requirements
- Experience working with financial datasets, revenue accounting, or ad-tech monetization analytics.
- A 'Data Product Owner' mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and defining metrics across a matrixed organization.
- Strong communication skills to influence and connect insights with actions across stakeholders.
- Fluency in SQL, workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, and at least one analytics and scripting language like Python.
- Experience building or working with semantic modeling tools like LookML is a plus.
- Curiosity or practical experience with emerging AI technologies is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analytics vision for unified revenue measurement across Netflix Ads.
- Design and implement frameworks to harmonize, quantify, and report on diverse revenue streams.
- Act as the lead Semantic Architect for revenue, driving consensus across Finance & Strategy, Accounting, and Product.
- Build scalable, transparent data models and dashboards that provide insights into revenue streams.
- Drive the narrative around how core revenue definitions impact downstream performance metrics.
- Serve as the integration layer for revenue data, aggregating and harmonizing localized source data.
