Job description

Netflix is seeking Senior Android Software Engineers to join various teams within Streaming & Discovery Experiences. The focus of these roles is on building foundational infrastructure, advancing app architecture, and enhancing the Netflix Android app for a global audience. Candidates will work on innovative product experiences, leveraging modern technologies and best practices in Android development. This position offers the opportunity to influence technical roadmaps and mentor less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the technical landscape of Android development.
  • Strong coding skills in Kotlin and Java.
  • Experience with modern technologies such as Jetpack Compose, Dagger/Hilt, and GraphQL.
  • Ability to drive technical solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build maintainable, performant Android client code.
  • Define and drive best practices for code consistency and reliability.
  • Develop code for testability and write automated tests to uphold product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define and deliver on product vision.
  • Mentor and grow less-experienced Android engineers.

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
