Job description
The Open Connect Control Plane team at Netflix is seeking talented Distributed Systems Software Engineers to develop scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient systems for delivering streaming video and other services. The team focuses on building high-scale services, operational excellence, and data analysis to enhance the Quality-of-Experience for Netflix members globally. Engineers will tackle complex challenges related to live streaming, resource optimization, and network intelligence. Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in Java.
- Experience in building and operating business-critical, real-time systems at scale.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, including stateful and stateless architectures.
- Experience with data analysis and querying from large-scale data lakes using tools like Python, SQL, and SparkSQL.
Responsibilities
- Build robust, responsive, and scalable distributed systems.
- Develop cloud services that optimize the streaming experience for users.
- Create tools and mechanisms for diagnosing and maintaining complex systems in real-time.
- Analyze and present data to inform design decisions and improve system performance.
