Job description
The Senior Software Engineer will join the FFIO Technology team to develop next-generation pricing platforms in the cloud, contributing to a pivotal initiative aimed at modernizing pricing capabilities. This role is based in Westlake, Texas, and involves hands-on development as well as providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. The engineer will work closely with product management to ensure solutions meet customer expectations. The position requires a strong foundation in software engineering and a commitment to learning new technologies.
Requirements
- 7-8+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Understanding of AWS or other cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as ECS and Docker.
- Strong understanding of Angular 21+ and familiarity with core concepts of signals, standalone and zoneless architecture.
- Experience with core frontend testing technologies such as ViTest/Jest, cypress/playwright, and core concepts of accessibility.
- Experience with SQL and stored procedures, preferably with Oracle database.
- Expertise in core Java technologies and frameworks like Spring Boot.
- Experience with Spring, myBatis, REST/Web Services, Maven, Typescript, XML, Apache Tomcat, Swagger, and Message Queue.
- Experience building and deploying cloud-enabled applications using 12-factor design.
- Experience with continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as Jenkins.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

- Work with product management on requirements and decompose epics into stories.
- Deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Build scalable, resilient, cloud-based systems aligned with the long-term strategy.
- Provide outstanding support, including on-call support when necessary.
- Mentor junior software engineers.
