Job description
The Data Scientist role at Netflix's Ads Data Science and Engineering team focuses on building foundational solutions for the ads business. Requirements
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics or related quantitative field.
- Leadership experience with large-scale data and proven ability to lead cross-functionally.
- Strong statistical knowledge and intuition utilized in experimentation or product analytics.
- Strong product knowledge and intuition in consumer/user interface settings.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and drive product change across various stakeholders.
- Strong SQL skills and Quantitative Programming skills in Python or R.
- Ability to communicate technical and statistical concepts clearly among diverse audiences.
- Experience mentoring and enabling others within the functional area.
- Active participation in building technical communities internally and externally.
Responsibilities
- Lead research and experimentation efforts to measure ad campaign performance and effectiveness.
- Identify and pursue research initiatives with significant business impact autonomously.
- Propose clear evaluation frameworks and success criteria for complex problems.
- Cultivate strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders including product and engineering teams.
- Execute and present robust research and insights to rally support for innovative ideas.
- Foster a collaborative and intellectually stimulating environment.
- Deliver technically excellent solutions using modeling and machine learning.
- Serve as a thought leader for Product, Strategy, and Engineering teams in measurement for Ads.
