The Director of Engineering is a senior leader within Corporate Services Technology, focusing on Legal Strategy and Shared Services. This role is responsible for the technical direction and operational excellence of Legal technology platforms. The director manages software engineers and collaborates with various stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable solutions. The position emphasizes software engineering excellence and modern architecture to support legal operations and shared services.
Requirements
- Deep software engineering leadership experience delivering enterprise platforms in regulated environments.
- Experience directly managing engineers responsible for full lifecycle delivery, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Strong engineering background across full-stack development, including modern front-end frameworks, back-end services, and relational databases.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud-native architectures, including application deployment and operations on AWS.
- Strong understanding of secure engineering practices, data governance, records retention, and compliance controls required for Legal and regulatory systems.
