Job description

Netflix is seeking Distributed Systems Engineers to enhance and innovate its data infrastructure. The Data Platform Infrastructure team provides centralized data platforms and tools that enable various business functions to make data-driven decisions. This role involves solving real business needs at scale and collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and product managers. The position is open to remote candidates within the U.S.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in crafting complex, scalable distributed data infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Java, C++, Golang, or Python with a solid understanding of multi-threading and memory management
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining high-impact systems
  • Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Familiarity with library development, DI frameworks (preferably SpringBoot), and container technologies

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build a robust, scalable, and highly available distributed infrastructure
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and TPM across teams
  • Share experiences with open source communities and contribute to Netflix OSS
  • Create high-leverage infrastructure, control, and deployment systems for running data systems at scale
