Job description
Netflix is seeking an experienced Research Engineer to join the Globalization Data Science and Engineering team. This team focuses on removing language barriers and enhancing member experiences through high-quality localization. The role involves developing and productizing algorithms for Multilingual Live Caption and Translation technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate with a cross-functional team to conduct cutting-edge Machine Learning research.
Requirements
- Proven track record of conducting cutting-edge research in Multilingual Live Caption and Translation models, demonstrated by publications in top-tier conferences or journals.
- MS or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Familiarity with common Machine Learning and Deep Learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to take ownership with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
- Research, develop and productize cutting-edge Multilingual Live Caption and Translation models.
- Partner closely with other ML engineers and scientists to integrate work into business applications.
- Act as a domain expert and thought leader in identifying new research opportunities with significant business impact.
- Present your research to all levels of the company clearly and concisely.
