Job description
The Director of Mobile Architecture will lead a team of architects to enhance mobile experiences and frameworks within Fidelity's Workplace Investing app portfolio. This role involves collaborating on enterprise-wide mobile initiatives and ensuring the design, implementation, and quality of mobile capabilities. The Mobile Architecture team focuses on using modern technologies to meet customer needs while fostering communication between product and engineering teams. The position is pivotal in driving digital transformation and innovation within the organization.
Requirements
- Substantial experience leading and coordinating architecture for mobile app development and deployment.
- Extensive expertise with native and hybrid mobile frameworks including iOS, Android, and Ionic Capacitor.
- Adept at iOS development using Swift and Android development using Kotlin.
- Deep knowledge of client-side web technologies including Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Experience with proof-of-concept development and evangelization.
- Solid understanding of server-side/cloud architecture and technologies like AWS.
- Proficient in principles of API design and its applications.
- Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, with equivalent experience considered.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade mobile capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Area to address complex business problems.
- Influence and articulate architecture solutions to product, development, and architecture leadership.
- Drive innovation by integrating AI-assisted tooling and intelligent automation into the engineering lifecycle.
- Coordinate project work across engineering and product teams.
