The Principal Quantitative Developer is a key software engineering role within a fast-paced quantitative development team, working closely with the quantitative research and investment teams. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or computational field such as Statistics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics.
- 8 years of experience in complex software development and collaboration with investment professionals.
- Deep understanding of software excellence concepts including reliability, extendibility, and performance.
- Advanced experience in analytical/software engineering skills including Python, Java, SQL, and Linux.
- Sophisticated understanding of quantitative techniques, statistics, and econometrics.
- Substantial experience with AWS cloud environment development and deployment is a plus.
- Good experience in equities, fixed income, or alternative asset classes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and own the implementation of research projects through the entire software development lifecycle.
- Develop, run, and support various quantitative tools in a cloud environment.
- Apply advanced analytics and quantitative concepts to support investment needs.
- Assist research teams in developing new models and products.
- Ensure scale, reliability, and repeatability in research through software development best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with multiple partners including researchers and senior management.
