Job description

The Software Engineer will join the CAT Regulatory Reporting Team in Jersey City, New Jersey, focusing on developing high-quality software solutions in an agile environment. This role emphasizes collaboration with business partners and stakeholders to deliver technology solutions for regulatory reporting. The engineer will be responsible for writing code for product features and mentoring junior team members. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required
  • At least 10 years of software engineering experience
  • Strong background in designing and developing large Reporting Platforms
  • Extensive experience with KDB+
  • Proficient in Linux, Python, and Java
  • Familiar with Control M
  • Highly proficient in managing high volumes of data sets
  • Proficient in SQL and a working knowledge of relational and time series databases
  • Experience with designing APIs, distributed systems, asynchronous workers, and resilient messaging services
  • An understanding of microservice architecture and on-prem and cloud-based deployments
  • Ability to build reliable software that can withstand unreliable environments
  • Experience in Capital markets or Crypto Currency specifically with exposure to Trading and Algo Trading
