Job description
The Director of Engineering for Asset Management Technology Foundations is responsible for leading the engineering strategy and execution of integrated experience platforms. This role involves managing people while ensuring high-quality technical decision-making and engineering best practices. The team focuses on developing web and desktop experience platforms, design systems, and shared component libraries. The ideal candidate will drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization while mentoring engineering talent.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading enterprise integrated experience platforms.
- Demonstrated ownership of design systems and shared UI component libraries.
- Deep background in modern UI and desktop experience architecture.
- Strong experience with desktop interoperability platforms and standards.
- Experience integrating AI-enabled capabilities into interoperability platforms.
- Strong understanding of desktop containers and inter-application communication patterns.
- Track record of leading engineering talent and setting clear technical direction.
- Solid full-stack foundation enabling effective leadership across platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
Responsibilities
- Balance people management responsibilities with engineering craftsmanship.
- Partner closely with engineering, architecture, UX, and product leaders.
- Guide teams through complex technical trade-offs and design reviews.
- Coach engineers to grow both technically and as leaders.
