Job description
The Quantitative Portfolio Engineer will join the Quantitative Model Management group at Strategic Advisers, LLC, focusing on the supervision and evolution of quantitative model portfolios for retail and workplace managed accounts. This role involves collaboration with portfolio managers, quantitative research, and technology teams to enhance investment methodologies and platform capabilities. The engineer will lead the quantitative investment process, ensuring the delivery of personalized and scalable portfolio management solutions. The position requires a strong background in investment management and quantitative research.
Requirements
- 5+ years of investment management experience in roles requiring quantitative research, portfolio construction, and technical skills.
- Experience with quantitative portfolio construction across multiple asset classes, including optimization techniques and tax-sensitive investment management.
- Experience leading end-to-end development of investment management platforms with technology partners.
- Graduate degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Quantitative Finance.
- CFA or related investment certifications are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day quantitative model portfolio construction processes and build personalized model portfolios at scale.
- Lead complex quantitative analysis projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance investment methodologies.
- Develop a custom-built portfolio oversight platform and analyze performance, risk exposures, and tax metrics.
- Partner with investment architecture and technology teams to prioritize the roadmap and design scalable enhancements to the model management platform.
- Perform end-user acceptance testing to ensure platform functionality.
