Job description

The Principal Quantitative Developer will work closely with the quantitative research team and investment teams to deliver high-quality analytical solutions for portfolio construction, risk management, and alpha research. This role requires a blend of investment management and technical expertise, focusing on developing robust and efficient solutions that enhance decision-making processes. The Quantitative Development team is part of Fidelity Asset Management Solutions, dedicated to improving productivity through advanced analytics. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative or computational field such as Statistics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics.
  • 6 years of experience in analytical models and working with investment professionals.
  • Domain knowledge in either equities, fixed income, or alternative asset classes.
  • Deep understanding of quantitative techniques, statistics, and econometrics.
  • Proven track record in hands-on development of analytical solutions.
  • Full-stack software development knowledge.
  • Technical and programming skills including Python, SQL, and Linux.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with investment teams on various projects including portfolio construction and risk management.
  • Lead the implementation of research projects through the entire software development lifecycle.
