Job description

The People Applications team at DoorDash is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to enhance talent acquisition and employee experiences through innovative application development. This hybrid role involves close collaboration with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to design and build end-to-end solutions that align with people goals. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise to drive improvements and support various people strategies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of industry experience in software development, ideally in HR-related applications.
  • Knowledge of frontend technologies such as JavaScript/Typescript, Python, HTML5, CSS3, and React.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Experience with databases such as Postgres, MYSQL, and Cassandra, along with SQL/PLSQL scripting knowledge.
  • Strong foundation in computer science principles including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Experience in building large-scale microservices and applications using cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build tools and applications to support various people strategies.
  • Work closely with business partners to understand business strategies and align product outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Analysts, Data Engineers, and other Application Engineers on projects.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements using technical and business knowledge.
  • Support troubleshooting, configuration, testing, and deployment of applications.
  • Train end-users and peers on new processes and functionality as needed.
