Requirements

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of technical experience focused on autonomous hardware and software systems.
  • Direct, hands-on experience with key AV components such as LiDAR, RADAR, GPS, and cameras.
  • Proven capability in interpreting and understanding electrical schematics and datasheets.
  • Experience with soldering, crimping, and meticulous cable management in lab or shop settings.
  • Familiarity with standard shop equipment, including CNC, machining, metal working, welding, and 3D printers.
  • Proficient in electromechanical repair and maintenance, utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools.
  • Strong 3D modeling skills for complex parts and assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for autonomous robotic vehicles by developing deep familiarity with the entire system.
  • Deliver vehicle integration support across the organization, including designing, prototyping, and installing proof-of-concept systems and sensors.
  • Guide the vehicle through its lifecycle, from initial build-out and integration to final delivery and operational shakedown testing.
  • Construct and engineer test benches to validate mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software systems.
  • Create and maintain all necessary documentation pertaining to vehicle integration and detailed assembly procedures.
  • Employ root cause analysis to troubleshoot vehicle systems, computer components, and sensors, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Manage and scale component provisioning and validation efforts to effectively support expanding vehicle fleets.
  • Collaborate across teams to satisfy the provisioning and validation requirements for various projects.
  • Address high-level, dynamically evolving technical challenges autonomously, maintaining a strict focus on safety.
