The Senior Security Engineer, Red Team at DoorDash is responsible for conducting adversary emulations to simulate real-world cyber attacks and identify security improvement opportunities. This role is part of the DoorDash Security team, which aims to protect the company's critical assets and technologies. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess the security posture of the organization. The position requires a proactive approach to security and the ability to provide feedback on customer trust initiatives.

• 5+ years of experience in Red Teaming and Purple Teaming
• Strong knowledge of one of Python, Golang, Rust, Kotlin, Java, or Powershell
• Experience with Command and Control (C2) frameworks
• Excellent understanding of information security operations related frameworks and standards, such as MITRE Att&ck
• Experience providing technical leadership and guidance

• Plan and execute realistic adversary simulations using curated threat intelligence
• Hunt for vulnerabilities across AI systems, payment infrastructure, and emerging technologies
• Build custom tools, exploits, and payloads tailored to DoorDash's tech stack
• Partner with Blue Teams to escalate emerging threats and develop proactive detection strategies
• Advise leadership on emerging threats and shape the security strategy
