The role involves working on both product and product platform teams to solve business problems with technical solutions. Engineers will be responsible for maintaining a large-scale global infrastructure that supports DoorDash's marketplace. • B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of industry experience working with backend tech stacks.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools in the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of system resources.
• Experience with service-oriented architecture, writing REST APIs, unit testing, and architectural design.
• Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and technologies such as Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ.

• Develop, release, and run large-scale web applications.
• Define the backend architecture and tech stack for a product area.
• Improve performance, reliability, scalability, and security for backend systems.
• Transition the monolithic codebase to a microservice-based architecture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate and execute on trade-offs to maximize business impact.
