Job description

The full stack UX Design Engineer at DoorDash will serve as the technical backbone of the global Content Design organization. This role focuses on building platforms, tooling, and ML systems to enhance product content across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo. The engineer will work at the intersection of design and engineering, enabling content designers to focus on strategic work while improving the efficiency of content delivery. Collaboration with various teams is essential to ensure high-quality content is shipped quickly and effectively.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Design Engineer, UX Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer building complex internal tools or platforms.
  • Strong frontend engineering skills with modern frameworks such as React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Solid backend engineering experience with technologies like Kotlin or Java.
  • Experience integrating with internal services and experimentation platforms.
  • Proven ability to partner with designers and content strategists to translate workflows into scalable products.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug issues across the stack.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build internal content tools to help PMs and designers manage product content at scale.
  • Own full-stack development of content tooling, including frontend and backend services.
  • Integrate content tools with A/B testing platforms for efficient testing and deployment.
  • Write clean, maintainable, production-quality code and participate in code reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with content designers, product designers, and other teams across brands.
  • Define and track metrics to measure the impact and adoption of content tools.
