Job description

NVIDIA is seeking motivated hardware engineers to join its System Product Team, focusing on the GPU memory subsystem from initial power-on to production. The role involves hands-on leadership in HBM/GDDR enablement and validation for datacenter and graphics products. Engineers will work closely with memory partners and cross-functional teams to drive product-level decisions. This position is ideal for those with a strong background in high-speed DRAM design and a passion for innovative technology.

Requirements

  • Masters or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant hands-on experience in high-speed DRAM design and test.
  • Broad comprehension of ASIC design, mixed signal design, and power/signal integrity concepts.
  • Strong fundamentals in science, engineering, and data analysis.
  • Very comfortable being hands-on with hardware and software.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, scripting, programming, computer systems, and data analysis methods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on efforts for HBM/GDDR enablement, validation, and failure analysis.
  • Drive the review of memory partner's design limits and test methodology.
  • Integrate learnings into unique characterization and test plans for each memory generation.
  • Apply understanding of controller design, board design, and DRAM design to refine methodologies.
  • Collaborate closely with memory partners to enable memory into production.
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple hardware design and software teams.
  • Guide product level decisions for the memory subsystem across various domains.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
