Job description

The Hardware Engineering Program Manager (HW EPM) will lead a multi-functional team in the development of new products for iPad and input devices. This role requires a solid engineering background to effectively manage planning, design release, and delivery of hardware components. The HW EPM will serve as the primary point of contact for program coordination with Contract Manufacturer partners. This position emphasizes both technical expertise and program management skills in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment.

Requirements

  • BS engineering degree is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in hardware engineering or operations program management.
  • Strong technical background in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with PCBA design, layout, or DFM is a plus.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to manage complex build matrices.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with creative and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to support international travel for build events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds.
  • Set and communicate clear objectives for the build schedule.
  • Lead multi-functional engineering team meetings to discuss design and timelines.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects by facilitating feedback through the internal design review process.
  • Maintain good communication and provide status updates to individual contributors and executive management.
