This role is a software engineering position within Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization, specifically in the AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) team. The team focuses on building AI-powered solutions that integrate open source software with Apple's internal ecosystem. The role involves developing high-quality, scalable distributed systems on the cloud to support data exploration and analytics. Candidates will work closely with internal customers to enhance their experience and streamline workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 3 or more years of experience building enterprise-level data applications on distributed systems
- Programming experience in Python, Scala, or Java
- Hands-on experience in designing and developing cloud-based applications
- Experience in cloud data warehousing platforms like Snowflake
- Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithm design
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
Responsibilities
- Build solutions that integrate open source software with Apple's internal ecosystem
- Drive the development of new components and features from concept to release
- Work closely with internal customers to understand their requirements and workflows
- Tune and debug codebase while supporting production applications
- Develop highly optimized SQLs and procedures for distributed data applications
- Generate and visualize data insights, metrics, and KPIs
