Job description

The role involves designing, developing, and deploying calibration and test instrumentation systems for Apple's products. The Product Integrity Group is focused on maintaining high standards and ensuring the success of new products. The engineer will collaborate with various cross-functional teams during the New Product Introduction phase. This position offers the opportunity to impact a wide range of Apple products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in design, development, debugging, and validation of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Basic understanding of hardware concepts and electrical engineering fundamentals.
  • Programming skills in C, C++, Objective-C, Python, or Lua.
  • Working knowledge of consumer electronics modules like sensors and acoustics.
  • Experience with digital signal processing.
  • Understanding of test principles and experience with test automation and optimization.
  • Experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience analyzing and processing large data sets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and specify automated instrumentation for calibration and testing of Apple's products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups throughout the New Product Introduction phase.
  • Validate and deploy instrumentation systems for mass production.
  • Manage multiple priorities across various disciplines.
  • Travel domestically and internationally as required.
