The Data Risk Lead position is a new role within the Operational Risk Management Data Risk - Center of Excellence Team. This team is responsible for strengthening and advancing independent data risk oversight capabilities across the firm. The main focus of this role is to support the development and implementation of data governance policies and to ensure compliance with risk management strategies. The position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex information effectively to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of experience in risk management, compliance, governance, or related roles.
- Understanding of data risk principles, strategies, and industry standards.
- Demonstrated ability to assess and manage competing priorities.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data risk.
- Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, R, and Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of the Data Governance Policy and procedures.
- Review and challenge the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies.
- Independently assess data risks within the business.
- Provide oversight of the business to understand its risk profile and compliance.
- Analyze data to identify trends or emerging risks and provide recommendations.
