Job description
Apple's Customer Experience Engineering team is seeking a passionate Software Quality Engineer to enhance the quality of Apple's customer support applications. The role focuses on ensuring consistent functionality, performance, and stability of support apps. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to test features and perform root cause analysis. This position requires a commitment to quality and the ability to utilize lightweight processes to achieve it.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance testing.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining test frameworks using tools such as RestAssured or Selenium.
- Proficiency in one or multiple programming languages such as Java or Python.
- Experience testing iOS native and Safari-based web applications.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Knowledge of AI-driven testing tools.
- Experience as a team lead is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of Apple's customer support experience by focusing on functionality, performance, and stability.
- Understand new and existing feature implementations to create informed testing charters.
- Author test scenarios, scripts, and plans, and execute functional, performance, and stability testing.
- Write and review automation test scripts and identify defects with root cause analysis.
- Champion quality efforts by collaborating with test automation engineering, product management, and engineering program teams.
