The Software Development Engineer will be part of the Ring and Blink Customer Service Engineering Services team, focusing on transforming customer service through innovative AI solutions. This role involves designing and implementing critical features of an AI-powered customer service platform while making key architectural decisions. The team aims to develop intelligent systems that provide timely support and improve efficiency. The engineer will collaborate across teams to create scalable solutions that enhance customer service experiences.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Experience managing a team of high calibre Software Engineers developing complex software systems
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Experience with Generative AI technologies and large language models
- Strong background in AWS AI services with production deployment experience
- Deep knowledge of Amazon Connect AI capabilities
- Experience building and maintaining production ML/AI systems
- Expertise with AWS compute optimization strategies
- Experience with real-time systems and low-latency requirements
Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate AWS AI services and Amazon Connect AI features for customer service applications.
- Leverage Amazon Connect's AI capabilities to build intelligent customer service solutions.
- Create proof of concepts and pilot programs to promote AI-driven automations.
- Collaborate with data science teams to productionize ML models.
- Drive AI model performance optimization through monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Own end-to-end technical design and implementation of major features.
- Lead technical discussions and design reviews for new features.
- Build scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-optimized solutions integrating AWS compute services.
- Define integration architecture and service definitions for interactions between systems.
- Build robust, scalable solutions for customer support automation.
- Drive continuous improvements in development and deployment processes.
- Ensure high quality and reliability through comprehensive testing strategies.
- Monitor and manage AWS infrastructure framework services.
- Lead the evaluation and architecture to manage failover and recovery.
- Work with product and business teams to maintain current state architecture artifacts.
- Advise program management on technology dependencies for delivering new feature requests.
- Present technical solutions and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure customer data security by adhering to Amazon's standards.
