The Software Foundations and Management organization at Amazon Web Services is seeking talented engineers to join its Managed Applications Platform team. This team is responsible for developing software and systems that enable Amazon's developer community to build critical services and technology. The focus is on creating fully-automated deployment workflows and dynamic fleet management systems that enhance application management in the cloud. The role offers the opportunity to significantly impact Amazon's infrastructure and improve the continuous deployment process for thousands of engineers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software systems that support automated deployments and fleet management.
- Collaborate with engineers to enhance application management in the cloud.
- Implement design patterns that ensure reliability and scalability of systems.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development life cycle.
