Job description

The role is part of Amazon's Middle Mile Transportation Technology team, focused on developing intelligent systems for optimizing freight movements globally. The team addresses complex software challenges that impact delivery efficiency and cost. You will work with various stakeholders, including customers and engineering teams, to enhance operational excellence. The position emphasizes building scalable systems and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop an intelligent system to calculate optimal schedules for freight movements
  • Interact regularly with customers and stakeholders across senior levels
  • Participate in the planning and execution of technology projects
  • Help junior engineers develop their skills and raise the bar for software quality
