Job description

As a Security Data Engineer at NVIDIA, you will be part of the Infrastructure Security Engineering organization, focusing on building the data backbone for the security control plane. Your work will involve creating pipelines, lakes, and analytics to transform telemetry from a large GPU fleet into a coherent security state. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure data integrity and security while enabling effective analytics. This role requires a blend of data engineering expertise and a strong understanding of security principles.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production data pipelines, lakes, or lakehouses at high volume and throughput.
  • A strong software engineering background with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or SQL.
  • Proven ability to design canonical schemas and data models that evolve over time without breaking dependent consumers.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data stacks, including streaming and batch processing, object storage, and interactive query engines.
  • Experience designing data systems with a focus on access control, encryption, audit, and isolation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate ingestion and transformation pipelines for security telemetry and asset inventory.
  • Architect and manage the storage layer for a data lake/lakehouse using open formats.
  • Build the query and analytics layer for posture scoring and multi-source correlation.
  • Engineer security measures for the data platform, including encryption and access control.
  • Collaborate with various teams to define data contracts and ensure system convergence.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
