Job description
The Director of UX Research for Search Verticals at Google will lead the user research and content design teams to enhance Google Search experiences. This role focuses on balancing product development needs with a deep understanding of user motivations and experiences. The director will collaborate closely with product management, design, and engineering leadership to drive user-centered strategies. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a research-related field, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience managing research and insights teams.
- Experience working with both qualitative and quantitative user research methods.
- Experience managing content design teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of researchers developing insights for Search verticals such as Travel, News, Local, Sports, Education, and Health.
- Drive the vision for transforming these verticals into delightful AI-forward experiences.
- Partner with Search UX, Engineering, and Product Management leadership to develop user-centered strategies backed by research.
- Prioritize research in conjunction with partners and raise the quality bar for research methods and communication.
