The Manager of Hardware Engineering Validation and Infrastructure at Google will lead the validation of hardware systems for data center products. This role is part of the Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team, which focuses on designing and delivering Google's compute and storage machines. The position requires physical interaction with hardware in a simulated data center environment and involves collaboration with various teams to ensure successful deployment and support. The role is critical in shaping the machinery that powers Google's services and affects millions of users worldwide.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience in data center systems architecture, design, hardware bring-up, and validation.
- 5 years of experience in technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead system and subsystem hardware validation for data center products.
- Develop strategy and roadmap for test infrastructure and processes to meet future technology and portfolio requirements.
- Gather requirements and define high-level architecture and execution strategy for product hardware validation.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, product, and deployment teams to support deployment and field support in Google data centers.
- Work with external technology and system partners to represent Google's technical requirements.
