The Hardware Performance Test Engineer will support a team of hardware design, test, and qualification engineers responsible for the validation and failure analysis of machine learning technologies. This role involves ensuring lab readiness for new products and managing lab resources effectively. The engineer will also help oversee lab budget, hiring, and performance management while maintaining a safe working environment. This position is part of the Platforms Infrastructure Engineering team, which designs and builds the hardware and software technologies that power Google's services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field.
• 2 years of experience working in a board testing technical environment.
• Experience with Python, Linux, lab tools, test automation, data analysis, and board testing.

• Support various hardware prototype bringup and qualification testing activities by developing Python automation test scripts.
• Develop software and infrastructure required for managing a fleet of test systems at scale.
• Provide integrated software to synchronize test execution on Device-under-Test with external smart measurement instrumentation.
• Support a team of hardware designers, qualification and test engineers on project planning within hardware development labs.
