Job description

The Senior Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Billing role at Google focuses on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining large-scale software solutions for Billing and Financial Operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 7 years of experience leading technical project strategy and working with industry-scale ML infrastructure.
  • 5 years of experience with speech/audio technology, reinforcement learning, or ML infrastructure.
  • 5 years of experience in design, architecture, and testing/launching software products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain large-scale software solutions across Billing and Financial Operations.
  • Drive technical project strategy and lead high-impact initiatives for processing billions of daily transactions.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers to promote technical excellence.
  • Partner with Engineers and Product Managers across various teams to achieve complex goals.
