Job description
The Office Engineer role at Jacobs focuses on providing critical construction management expertise for infrastructure projects in Morristown, New Jersey. The team is dedicated to ensuring that projects related to water, highway, and sewer construction stay on track through effective project administration and coordination. This position requires a strong emphasis on safety and quality, as well as collaboration with the Resident Engineer staff. The ideal candidate will contribute to the successful execution of large infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
- Substantial construction professional experience working on large infrastructure projects
- NICET certification
Responsibilities
- Perform daily project administration and coordination for construction projects.
- Provide administrative support to the Resident Engineer staff in reviewing daily inspector reports.
- Handle project correspondence and filing, including plotting of plans and producing estimates.
- Assist in the change order process and review payrolls and EEO documents.
- Ensure proper document control, quality assurance documentation, and construction project records are maintained.
- Conduct field inspections and review quality and uniformity in the records of various contracts.
