Job description

The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) Security Red Team is seeking a Security Engineer to lead in-depth security reviews of critical services and infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with various teams to identify security weaknesses and enhance Apple's security posture. The engineer will focus on complex systems, developing testing frameworks, and providing actionable recommendations. Requirements

  • 4+ years in an information security field or software engineering, with 2 or more years conducting security reviews
  • 2+ years of experience manually reviewing source code to find vulnerabilities
  • Extensive infrastructure, cloud, and application security experience
  • Experience communicating risk to engineering and leadership teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with an emphasis in security

Responsibilities

  • Lead focused security reviews on critical internet scale applications and supporting infrastructure
  • Identify security weaknesses and validate detection mechanisms
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to improve security controls
  • Develop repeatable testing frameworks and metrics-driven security improvements
  • Construct threat scenario narratives and build exploit chains
