JobsASIC Design Engineer
Job description
NVIDIA's VLSI team is seeking engineers to work on cutting-edge standard cell libraries and custom ROM modules in deep submicron technologies. The team focuses on transforming GPU and accelerator architectures into production silicon, driving IP design and verification for complex chips. Engineers will have the opportunity to shape products that define the state of the art in AI, HPC, and autonomous systems. This role emphasizes collaboration and innovation in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in VLSI design.
- Strong background in advanced submicron process issues.
- Deep understanding of the build and verification of conventional cell libraries and custom ROMs.
- Hands-on experience running SPICE simulation and adapting to new simulation tools.
- Experience with running EM/IR, aging, noise, margin, and high sigma variation simulations.
- Hands-on experience of DRC/LVS debug.
- Experience designing and optimizing flip flops, level shifters, latches, and custom ROMs, register files, SRAM.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, Make, and automation methods.
Responsibilities
- Work on standard cell libraries and custom ROM modules in deep submicron technologies.
- Drive the concepts of transistor level standard cell circuit design, modeling, and performance analysis.
- Lead the function and feasibility verification of new ROM designs and set up new design flows.
- Provide creative insights to enhance existing tools and develop new simulations for design margin evaluations.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to improve standard cell development and quality checks.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
