·FY 2025Job description
We are seeking software engineers to join our cuDSS development team, focusing on a CUDA library for direct solvers for sparse linear systems. The role involves collaborating with developers to craft algorithms and kernels for accelerated computing. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in high-performance numerical software and a commitment to advancing technology in various computing domains. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that impact scientific and engineering simulations.
Requirements
- PhD or MSc degree in Computer Science, Computational Science and Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing, debugging, and optimizing high-performance numerical software using C++ and parallel programming.
- Strong fundamentals in floating-point arithmetic, numerical analysis, and implementation of sparse linear algebra primitives.
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and testing scientific computing libraries.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation habits.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize direct sparse solvers for existing and future GPU architectures.
- Collaborate with library engineers, QA engineers, and interns on all aspects of library development.
- Work closely with product management and partners to understand feature and performance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve library quality, performance, and maintainability for sparse linear algebra libraries.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
