The Sr. EMIR Engineer will be part of the Machine Learning Acceleration team, focusing on the EMIR sign-off of SoCs that power AI workloads in datacenters. This role requires collaboration with architects, designers, and verification engineers to ensure high-quality power grid design and analysis. The engineer will also develop methodologies for EMIR analysis and maintain dashboards for EMIR status. This position is fast-paced and intellectually challenging, encouraging teamwork across various technology areas.

• 5+ years of experience in ASIC implementation, synthesis, STA, and physical design in deep sub-micron nodes (16nm or smaller).
• Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, Master's degree with 5 years of experience, or PhD with 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Expertise in EMIR analysis tools such as Redhawk-SC or Voltus.
• Deep understanding of power, EM, and IR at the circuit level.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python.
• Familiarity with RTL design using System Verilog.
• Experience with PnR tools like FusionCompiler or Innovus.
• Familiarity with power analysis tools like PrimePower and timing analysis tools like PrimeTime.

• Design and analyze power grids for SoCs.
• Set up flows for EMIR analysis.
• Run EMIR analysis for large subsystems and SoCs.
• Partner with EDA tool vendors to develop and evaluate new methodologies for EMIR analysis.
• Develop and maintain dashboards for EMIR rollups.
• Work with designers and architects to develop vectors for IR analysis, thermal analysis, and power estimation.
• Root cause low annotation or low switching coverage with vectors.
• Combine IR analysis of SoC with IR at board and package level.
• Perform post-silicon power measurements and correlate with simulation.
• Innovate ways to model VR, board, and package impact on voltage drop.
